Lets Go Racin!

Before reading this post, I debated putting it up. While we were gone, my dearest Grandma Beth passed away. I wanted to post this weekend because I have so many emotions that go with it, my next post is going to be dedicated to my Grandma. I miss her so much, more than I can say. Her funeral is Saturday, I think I am going to wait to post after.

Every year Ryan and I head to Las Vegas for the NASCAR races. It's one of my favorite vacations, we have our favorite casino off the strip, my parents along with my Aunt Cris and Uncle Randy go and I love to spend some one on one time with them. In the last few years, one of my best friends Hope and her husband Scott have been there. They live in Nephi so I don't get to see her that much, I love her being there and being whiskey with me :)
This year Saturday's Nationwide race was pretty cold and we thought it was going to get rained out, but they made it! Ryan's favorite driver, Kevin Harvick won the race too!
Sunday was a much nicer day. The sun was out, and the Target shopping carts too (see photo's below).
Usually we are at the track most of the day. This year the race lasted maybe 2 1/2 hours. It was so fast, I am used to 4 hours and leaving the track at dark. With the sun still up we went and hung out at Hope's trailer. I would love to camp there sometime, but Ryan likes his condo. I guess I can't blame him, but I would like to try it once. Oh and our (Hope and I) driver won Sunday!!! GO JIMMIE!
Monday we stayed in Mesquite with Ryan's friend and his wife. It was nice to spend time with them even though they live .8 miles away from us. Before we left Vegas though we checked out the new ARIA hotel and casino that is next to the brand new city center. This place is HUGE, and of course in Vegas it has the best of everything.
Tuesday on our way home, we stopped in Fillmore and ate at Carl's Jr. Ryan's brother lives down there and manages this restaurant his wife Megan brought our niece Macie and nephew Connor over to see us. She had to take Macie from tumbling early to bring her but she didn't tell her why. She was confused why her mom took from tumbling to Carl's Jr. but then I was able to surprise her and it made my day.
