What a super busy bunch we are. I thought I would take some time and update this little blog of ours. I'm loving this fall storm we are having, but I wish the fall colors would stay all through winter.
Keaton and Tevin are just about finished with football, their last game is Saturday. I'm excited and bummed at the same time. It's been a fun year and the kids have learned a lot. Ryan has been great shuffling both of them to and from practices and doing his best to make each game. He's such a great dad!
We celebrated Tevin's 9th birthday this weekend. We kept it low key, but after the football season he is having a birthday party with the kids from his football team.
Friday his team had a Halloween party for all the kids and parents at Magna Park. They bobbed for apples, pinned scary eyes on a monster, and decorated treat bags. The food was yummy and the kids had a blast.

After Tevin opened his cards, we all made caramel apples and caramel corn. I thought the kids would have fun making these, but they lost interest after 5 minutes or so. But they did stay in the kitchen, so I was happy with that.
Our house smelled so yummy!!!
Saturday night we took Keaton and Tevin to Nightmare on 13th. Keaton had never been to a haunted house, so we volunteered to take him.
Nolan still needed to finish his homework and he didn't want to go to a haunted house.
I haven't been to something like this since Junior High. I thought we would be the oldest people there, but pleasantly surprised that a lot of adults took their kids.I was able to get a few pictures before being asked not to take them.

I mentioned Nolan's homework earlier in this post. He had to present a National Park, which he selected Colonial National Historic Park. He also had to wear a costume that is associated with the park. He will stand and present his park to all his classmates in a fair type setting. We are so proud of him! He did a fantastic job!
Well that should get you up to date with our nest for now! I hope you are all enjoying your fall season and can't wait to read what you have all been up too!

Nolan makes such a handsome pilgrim!! The carmel apples look yummy and fun! Let Tev know we did think of him on his birthday. Hope he had a great one :)
ReplyDeleteI'm way impressed by the carmel apples -- I've never made my own but am considering it now!
