Pirates 7 - Stallions 0

Just a warning before you watch this video, you might want to have your volume on low!
After a dismal season last year (we didn't win a single game) and losing the first two scrimmage games of this year, we were a little worried that it would be much the same come the first game. Of course you don't share this with the boys, you tell them that they are out there to have fun and learn sportsmanship, but a win every once in awhile helps with the fun part.
We were playing the Stansbury Stallions and they played a good game, but from the very first quarter you could tell how much the Pirates improved from last year. The kids were able to hold the Stallions and not once did they just run away with the ball! When we were on offense we were able to run, gain yards and get first downs! Other spectators probably thought we were nuts cheering over a first down, but believe me it was for a good reason. Last year I think we only had one first down, so yes we were all ecstatic!
The video is of the first touchdown of the season and the kids earned it for sure! It was an amazing feeling and to see all the boys' happy faces!
Hopefully any of you that live close will be able to make it a game or two, Keaton loves to see friends and family there to support him! The schedule is below...
